Dumped mom and puppies found huddled in box in Romanian woodland saved after passerby reported sighting to rescue who spent hours searching for the fur family until they were finally brought to safety

As the old song goes 'you never know what you might find out in the woods today', only the punchline in this story is not a teddy bear's picnic, but instead a family of doggos who were carelessly dumped in the middle of the forest. At least that was the experience of one passerby who reported seeing the scared doggos while on a walk.

Thankfully that person was wise and got in touch with Sadie's Dog Rescue who were in the area and able to help. Not that helping would be easy, all they had to go off was a rough location in an area that was very short on visibility. Not to mention that with mom being so scared she was likely trying to remain as quiet as possible such that predators might not find her. But no dog in need can hide from a rescuer who knows their stuff and before long the fur family was found and taken into the care of the rescue.

Surprisingly for being in such a vulnerable state mom was not too scared or aggressive towards her rescuers. Allowing them to freely pet and pick up her pups. Something which you would not perhaps expect from an animal in distress. But that is the magic of doggos. They know so much more about what is going on around them than they appear to and this wise momma must have known that these hoomans were here to help and that all she need do is trust them.

Goodness, it brings tears to your eyes seeing a sorry situation like this. We often mention the shame felt by those who dump their dogs, which leads them to do silly things that make it harder to find and help that pupper in need. Things like putting them in a box, walking into the middle of a forest and leaving them there. How harrowing it must have been for mom to lie there, trying to do the little she can to care for her puppies. Who knows how much longer she could have held out hope and kept up her mom duties.

What a happy ending to such a sad story. It is not often that a pup in the middle of nowhere gets to have such a happy ending. Often this is just the beginning of their stories. From here the amateur rescuer would have to jump through a series of hoops to get to the point of putting their found pup in a rescue that could care for them and find them a loving home. These pups lucked out big time and are on the fast track to living a life of love and luxury with a family who will cherish them.
